About the Business

Hello and welcome to my site my name is Derek Say and I have lived in Cirencester since 1985, (originally growing up in Tetbury some 10 miles away). I have always been involved with bikes in one way or another having built and maintained my first bike at the age of thirteen and then when left school I decided to attend and complete a "Time Served Apprenticeship at the Mid Glos Technical College" in Stroud back in 1974 - 1978. This gave me the opportunity to begin to understand the fundamentals of engineering and so forth gave me the knowledge to move forward with my passion. The first bike I ever built was a 197 Francis Barnett, which was a scrambler rolling chassis that came with a big box with a mixture of 150 and a 197 Villiers bits in. I couldn't wait to get home from school to finish it and run it up and down the street. My first real road bike was a 1974 Purple (Fizzy) FS1E and after a few modifications I could get 72 mph down-hill.
