About the Business
NEMCRC are based at the Tynemouth and District Motor Club, Billy Mill Lane, North Shields. NEMCRC are affiliated to the ACU, (Auto Cycle Union) and organise Road Race Meetings throughout the season under ACU directions and permits. We also train Marshals, Technical Staff and are licensed by the ACU to carry out initial rider training prior to the ACU granting a competition licence. We consistently hold race meetings at Croft near Darlington and East Fortune in the Scottish Borders every season.
We have also held meetings at Cadwell Park and Knock Hill in the past. Our meetings are held over the Saturday and Sunday with Technical Inspections and Signing On carried out on the Friday night. Age restrictions for competing are laid down in the ACU rule book. From the age of 12 with parental agreement you can ride in 125cc production classes. At 18 years of age there are no restrictions to what can be ridden but under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
